North Hills/Midtown is one of the most sought after areas for those looking for unique home and being close to fun things to do. It’s located just North of 440 and goes from Lead Mine Road to just East of Six Forks. This is some of the most expensive real estate we have in the Triangle. Just a few years ago I was selling homes in the $175-$200 per square foot ranch and now many homes are $250-$300+ depending on the neighborhood and home. We are seeing many older homes being torn down for rebuilds and this is only possible when the home prices are so high. When Inside the Beltline prices started getting high it caused it to push out into this area. Smaller ranch homes can fetch $275,000-$350,000 easily and the luxury properties will top $1,000,000.
North Hills is a large outdoor shopping mall with a wide variety of stores and restaurants. Each Thursday they feature the beach music fest and put on a concert. North Hills occupies both sides of Six Forks with amenities on both sides. If you want a unique older home and have a budget in the $350,000+ range this might be a great area for you to consider.
